I'll have to write the whole story down, but for now, here are some adorable pics of the little ducklings we found rushing down the irrigation canal behind our house.
Sad follow up: Both little ducklings died. One appeared to have drowned, even though there was only about a half inch of water. And the other one died the next night even though I had been occasionally holding it to give it comfort, and had a hot water bottle to keep it warm. Maybe their trip down the canal had been more dangerous then I had thought. Or perhaps I overlooked something in my ignorance. Either way, it was terribly sad to find them, and Teo took it hardest of all.
